- Identify issues that need fixing — From your experience, speaking with other business owners and customers, find key areas that aren’t handled as they should be. Or that businesses could do better.
- Narrow the issues — The ‘issue list’ could be significant, as there could be much that needs improving. Filter through the ideas to ones you can approach, that interest you and that you have the skills and resources to work on.
- Develop the change approach — Work on the solutions to the problem. This isn’t always an overnight process. It can take years to make significant changes that have a lasting impact.
- Roll out the solution — Let your customer know you’ve fixed the issue, and allow them to enjoy it. For something that provides a positive impact for the customers, the rollout will market itself.
