Cold Emails

Writing cold emails can help. Here is a post I saw on Facebook.

I landed a demo with a head-honcho from IBM today…from a cold email campaign from a list of un-engaged (basically zombified) contacts from the past year.
The first words of his response: “OMG best email ever!!!”
We also got a demo with a leader from Google, and a few other billion $ companies.
How was it done?
It’s all about engaging copy.
I take that back – it’s all about 1) Do you have a useful product that your prospects need (or think they need)?
and 2) engaging copy :)
BTW: People can spot a spammy marketing email from a mile away.
I ran a sequence of 4 emails over a 12-day period, each with a creative subject line and a funny meme (above the fold) that reinforced my message.
Each email in the sequence reiterated our value prop, provided a link to our website and/or product pages, included an area to “Schedule a Meeting” and got more aggressive with the messaging as it was nearing the final email.
The first step is your subject line. If no one opens your email, it doesn’t matter how amazing the body copy is. When you have a generic subject you sell yourself short and blur your presence against the other 100 emails your prospects receive every. single. day.
If you’re email gets opened – awesome! The next challenge is getting them to take an action (respond, click through, schedule a meeting). Make your copy engaging and exciting and follow a format they makes them WANT to read through. I did this through adding humor to each of my emails.
I also gave them a “way out” by repeating in each email that they could simply let me know if I was being a pest and they wouldn’t hear from me ever again…*a sad day for me*

All in all, cold emailing can be your best friend if done strategically by differentiating yourself from the “noise.” https://blog.leadcandy.io/good-sales-emails/home
