Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is an open-source web component framework to allow mobile web pages to operate at an optimal speed. It gives high performance, engagement, flexibility with a smooth UX on both mobile and desktop. AMP leads to a 2% increase in site traffic. This project was started in 2016 by Google as a solution to slow-loading sites. The reason why AMP helps sites load faster is that it restricts HTML/CSS and JavaScript. AMP mobile pages load faster because they are automatically cached by Google AMP Cache. So, AMP pages load faster on Google Search and bring more traffic.
