Network Security Silicon

Network security silicon refers to the use of specific network security processors to perform very high-speed security processing, such as deep packet inspection and stream processing. This is different from application-specific integrated circuits and field-programmable gate arrays that are already in use, and different from cryptographic accelerators. However, combinations of all of these devices are increasingly needed to deal with complex networks and advanced targeted threats.
